Surv News

We’re excited to introduce our first Neighborhood Survants Newsletter, created to celebrate you, the heart and hands behind everything we do.

The theme, Surving Neighbors, Strengthening Families, reflects the spirit you bring to every event, distribution, and moment of service. Your time, energy, and willingness to show up have made a tangible difference for families across our community, and we couldn’t do this work without you.

Because of your dedication, the past several months were filled with powerful moments, from the joy and connection shared at Winter Wonderland, to the reflection and resilience honored at Dena Relief: One Year Later, to the ongoing daily distributions supporting families through the Eaton Fire Collaboratory. Each effort, big or small, helped meet real needs and restore hope.

This newsletter is also an invitation. There are many more opportunities ahead to Surv, connect, and grow together. Whether you’ve volunteered once or many times, you are a vital part of this community, and we’d love to continue building alongside you.

Thank you for being difference makers in action and for helping us live out our mission of empowering tomorrow’s difference makers.

We can’t wait to serve with you again soon

.

With gratitude, Neighborhood Survants

 “LOVE SURV’D WEDNESDAYS”

GROUNDED IN GRATITUDE: A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

One year after the devastating Eaton Canyon fires, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the strength and heart of our community. What began in loss has grown into something powerful, neighbors showing up for neighbors, families lifting one another, and a shared commitment to move forward together. Through the dedication of our partners and those who Surv alongside us, Neighborhood Survants remains focused on what matters most: surving neighbors, strengthening families, and building a hopeful, lasting foundation for tomorrow. With that spirit in mind, I’m excited to introduce our “Love SURV’d Wednesday” series this February, where we’ll honor and celebrate a few community leaders and partners who continue to pour into this work. It’s our way of saying thank you and a reminder that love, service, and resilience continue to lead the way.
