Antoinette “Toni” Raines and Altadena Talks
Antoinette “Toni” Raines
Director of Community Engagement – Community advocate and policy leader
Toni Raines is a systems consultant and community advocate known for breaking down complex information and helping people take action.
A lifelong Altadena resident and US Air Force veteran, she has played a key role in local recovery efforts following the Eaton Fire in 2025, supporting clean-up, response, and rebuilding work across the community.
She is also a volunteer with Team Rubicon and a selected participant in the After the Fire Summit 2025, recognized for her leadership in disaster recovery and community engagement.

WHy we give
Why We Give is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing health equity by providing CARE hygiene kits, community health education, and wellness-centered workshops that restore dignity, confidence, and access to care. From Los Angeles to growing international partnerships, they mobilize kindness into action through youth and adult education, employee wellness programs, corporate volunteer experiences, disaster recovery support, and community outreach.
At the heart of their mission is simple impact: creating CARE kits for individuals in need and turning compassion into direct action—one kit, one person, one community at a time.

Morning Crane
Co-owned by founder and Qigong Master Chris Shelton and Parisa Shelton, Morning Crane is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities with practical, natural tools that support mental health and overall wellbeing. Through private sessions, group classes, workplace wellness programs, and instructor training, their work centers on helping people reconnect with balance through mindful movement and healing practices.
At our Wellness Surv event, Morning Crane will be guiding the community through Yoga and Tai Chi sessions, creating space to slow down, breathe deeply, and restore both mind and body.

Mimi
Meet Mimi ⭐
Rain or shine, she shows up week after week ready to help. She’s often one of the first to arrive at the warehouse and one of the last to leave, always with a positive attitude.
This year, Mimi also helped put together over 300 Easter baskets, making a real difference for so many families.
We’re excited to celebrate Mimi this month and grateful for the energy, kindness, and consistency she brings to the team. Thanks for everything you do, Mimi.
