PPD Pink Patch supported by Neighborhood Survants

The Pasadena Police Department (PPD) has launched an inspiring new initiative. "The Pink Patch Project" to raise awareness and show support for breast cancer survivors. Throughout the month of October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, officers will proudly wear pink badges and patches as a symbol of solidarity with those fighting and overcoming breast cancer.

This effort is more than just a visual statement. The PPD has partnered with leading institutions like Huntington Cancer Center and Cedars-Sinai, joining forces to bring visibility and compassion to a cause that touches countless families in Pasadena and beyond.

We are also deeply grateful to California Metro Patrol for their generous $10,000 donation, helping this campaign take a meaningful step forward in supporting life-saving breast cancer research.

Neighborhood Survants Joins the Movement

At Neighborhood Survants, we are honored to stand alongside PPD in this mission. For the soft launch on September 17, 2025, our nonprofit proudly donated the "Stronger Together" T-shirts, helping jumpstart the program and provide a sense of unity for officers and the community.

Our role in this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting double survivors, those navigating the challenges of both breast cancer and the devastating effects of the Eaton Fire. We believe that healing extends beyond medical treatment, it’s about building strength, resilience, and hope within the community.

Stronger Together

The Pink Patch Project is more than a campaign, it’s a movement. By wearing pink, the Pasadena Police Department is sending a powerful message: we are stronger together.

Throughout October, the department will raise both funds and awareness to stand with survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and support the ongoing fight for a cure.

Neighborhood Survants will continue to support survivors in every form, whether it’s through recovery, resilience, or rebuilding lives after hardship.

Together with PPD, Huntington Cancer Center, Cedars-Sinai, California Metro Patrol, and our incredible Pasadena community, we are standing tall for survivors everywhere.
