This past weekend, we had the honor of serving over 4,000 students, providing them with backpacks, school supplies, brand-new shoes, critical resources, and most importantly, a renewed sense of pride and confidence as they begin a new school year. For more than 71% of these students, still recovering from the devastating Eaton Canyon Wildfires, your support represented far more than material aid, it was a symbol of hope, resilience, and community.
What we accomplished together would not have been possible without you. Our grassroots nonprofit is growing in both impact and credibility, and your support has helped us form powerful partnerships with major organizations. We were proud to work alongside The Rose Bowl Stadium, Baby2Baby, Foot Locker, Subway, Staples, the Los Angeles Chargers’ kicker Cameron Dicker, and The Rose Bowl Institute, who stood with us to uplift our youth.
We were also deeply honored to have our efforts recognized by key community leaders. Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Councilmember Tyrone Hampton not only attended the event but presented signed commendations to our leadership team, celebrating the impact of our work. Their recognition further affirms that our mission is not only heard, but felt, at every level of the community.
Every backpack given, every child smiling with new supplies in hand, is a direct result of your compassion and commitment. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing in the future we’re building—one child, one act of kindness, one backpack at a time.
With gratitude,
Michelle White President, Neighborhood Survants
