We Surv Wellness Event
The first-ever We Surv Wellness was a powerful reminder of what can happen when community, care, creativity, and wellness come together in one space. With over 130 registered attendees, the event created a day centered around healing, connection, movement, art, and access to essential resources.
The first-ever We Surv Wellness was a powerful reminder of what can happen when community, care, creativity, and wellness come together in one space. With over 130 registered attendees, the event created a day centered around healing, connection, movement, art, and access to essential resources.
Throughout the event, more than 200 wellness bags were distributed to community members. Each bag included hygiene supplies generously donated by Why We Give, helping provide care items that support dignity, confidence, and everyday wellness.
Guests participated in a variety of experiences designed to nurture both mental and physical well-being. One of the highlights was the interactive art activity led by Alta Art, which created space for creativity, self-expression, and community engagement. Attendees also enjoyed yoga and Tai Chi sessions with Morning Crane, offering peaceful moments of grounding, movement, and mindfulness throughout the day.
Day one also included supply donations and community outreach efforts that reflected the true spirit of mutual support and collective care. From wellness resources to creative activities, every part of the event was built with the intention of making wellness feel accessible, welcoming, and community-driven.
This event would not have been possible without the incredible organizations, partners, volunteers, artists, wellness leaders, and community members who gave their time, energy, and support to bring this vision to life. Every volunteer who helped pack bags, set up spaces, assist attendees, and support the experience played a major role in making the day successful.
We Surv Wellness was more than an event — it was a reminder that wellness can look like community, art, movement, generosity, and simply having a safe space to exist, connect, and recharge together.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, partnered, volunteered, donated, and participated. This is only the beginning.
i want to send out a thank you message via our newsletter , how should i do that
A good newsletter thank-you message should feel warm, community-focused, and reflective without being too long. You want people to feel appreciated, remind them what was accomplished, and leave them excited for what’s next.
Here’s a version you can send out through your newsletter:

To our community,
Thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, partnered, donated, taught, created, supported, and shared space with us during We Surv Wellness.
Because of this community, we welcomed over 130 registered attendees and distributed more than 200 wellness bags filled with hygiene supplies donated by Why We Give. From yoga and Tai Chi with Morning Crane, to the interactive Alta Art activity, supply donations, wellness resources, and moments of connection throughout the day — the event became something truly special because of all of you.
What made this event meaningful was not just the programming, but the people. We witnessed neighbors supporting neighbors, artists creating space for healing, volunteers giving their time with care, and community members showing up fully for wellness, joy, and connection.
We could not have made this happen without our incredible partners, volunteers, organizers, wellness leaders, artists, and every single person who attended and supported the vision.
Thank you for believing in community care and for helping us create a space centered around wellness, creativity, healing, and access.
This is only the beginning.
